0.
remove the mirror

1.
remove screws (No3 Philips head) the door handle screws are hiding behind clip on panels that will require gentle persuasion by flathead screwdriver
Remove the inner door panel (its on the clips, will have to giggle the door opener to get it through the opening). disconnect two electrical connectors (window switch and door light)

2.
remove plastic (good idea to replace it, i didn't do it, so will have to open it up again)
Image

3.
reconnect the window switch and move window down till you see the glass mount nuts(red Arrows) (then remove the switch)

what has failed:

these sit in the motor rail guide
the replacement was not all that good either, they are poly bushes, but they loose shape and crumble. trying to find an alternative

all greased up:

Installation is the reverse of the above.

Important:
you will have to spend some time matching the stoppers and guides, by putting window up and closing the door, seeing how it sits against the rubbers and then readjust (real pain of the process)

This woulda been really helpful, I just replaced a broken runner in my drivers door, wish I read this first. I had no trouble getting the trim off, it was getting the window out, but I got there in the end.

Fantastic article by the way. The 929 really needs its own site, so come on guys, lets keep up the good work:)

I wish I had your setup. Where the motor pulls a cable. My motor pulls on a bunch of little "balls" and they are so worn, they just click when you try to rull up the window. So annoying. Wonder if I can replace them with your type?
