Hi all, another HD 929 newbie from Brisbane
Hi everyone, we're newbies from Brisbane and have recently bought a 1992 HD 929. Well what can I say about the 929
WHOAAAAAA what a car we luv it already and its not even on the road yet. We picked it up for $400 as is with electrical problems,eg; windows,sunroof,boot/fuel release and mirrors. The young fella that owned it before went a bit overboard with wiring in amps, speakers, led lights everwhere ,so in doing that he upset a lot of the factory wiring. So thats where we are at the moment, sorting through the mass of wires. Sorted out most of it and now have sunroof working, boot release cable is cut in the boot but fuel door works now, had 3 windows working bar passenger side, so took the regulator and motor out and now we have no windows at all working off the main switch, rear sub switches ok, grrrr. Regulator tested out of car and will go up but not down??????
But for $400 can't complain really.Motor seems A1, body needs a bit of tlc.But we'll get there.
Sorry for the scroller.

welcome to the site and to the world of 929's. watch out coz you may fall heavily in love with these heavy barges and wind spending more you were hoping to on it. at least thats what happened with me.
$400 is an absolute bargain considering that these still go for about 6 grand.
jitb:
dude no glove box!! man you guys were ripped off!!

Hi all, another HD 929 newbie from Brisbane
Hey all, just an update. have now got 99% of the wiring cleaned up/sorted out. Found a wrecker that had 2 929s in stock, so we had a field day getting bits and pieces.Got heaps of stuff for $100 including a main and a passenger side door trim with switches. so now all power windows work, yay.
Just about ready for a roadworthy. Cant wait to get her on the road!!!! Will post up some more pics when we charge the camera batteries.
Bye for now.
