Re: What wheels are these?
i know i come from a different community where its all about stance and flow and look:)
its up to you what wheels you put on your car caus ein the end of a day its your car and if you like it, good on you:)
but in my opinion u should never put modern loking wheels on old car, it will look out of place, atleast to me.
go mesh style, bbs or something, go 17's aswell 8" front and 9 rear.
it will modernize the car but still compliment its age and look and class.
cant go wrong with mesh wheels:) i know they are sporty, but you can pull that look with a luce/929:)

And alpha..... I agree with you on BBS Mesh wheels. Always been a fan of them on luxury cars. 17s.. hmmm... maybe..... I'm more inclined to go to 18s but nothing bigger. I'm also a fan of a luxury car that's got good size wheels and low. Nothing more. Bodykit for a 929... I dunno... I have to sleep on that. I saw one that Sim from MW was looking at and trying to import. That wasn't too bad, but yeah... might not sit too well.
One step at a time. I'll do stereo, then interior, then wheels then suspension, then paint..... THEN motor if I get bored (and rich enough! haha)

Wrong... first is STEREO (weight in the boot and all over body sound deadening) THEN suspension I suppose. Hang on... wouldn't it make sense to get the wheel size you want then lower the car to the height that sit well on the wheels?
I'm just thinking out aloud here... but school me otherwise..

17" look a a bit small in HC arches.... i had 17" on my old car and it didn't work too good, needed taller tires to make it fill the arches, but then the walls become a bit tall and tires get as expensive as 18" due to rare size ( i had 215 45 front and 225 45 rear).
plus the speedo will need to have a new gear, unless you have AU late S2 or VERY late S2 jap....(they run electric speed sensor and Jaycar has speedo corrector unit)

I just found another VERY similiar style wheel but Advanti wheel. 19s with tyres $1800!!!!
Now I'm getting carried away here! I've got plenty of options though. At least the "fin" style wheel resembles the Series 2 wheels on the HC 9ers.
