they are working for me??
weird.
anyways HUUGEEEEEE update
there is a guy who modified FD shocks to fit into HD...
rears are moderate drop(my guess will be 60mm) and front is pretty much on the ground(30-40mm)...
so in my opinion its not worth it:(
and that guy said that it was a mission to make it work too...
weird.

Re: a few suspension options for HD/HE
the key to all of these things, is to get tops and bottoms to match, once you get that any after market suspension place should match up a unit for you
meaning (as for HC):
we take FC casing (with bottom bracket that matches HC)
have taller insert fitted
have higher rate springs
bonus of having the tops the same is that you could use the caber/caster tops
with HC, not so lucky the tops are different to FC

Re: a few suspension options for HD/HE
problem is that FD and HD/HE shocks are in one piece...so, unless you make custom casings and just buy any sutable inserts, it wont work that well, unless you have reasonably big budget.
basically that guy cut off eyelet and a fork from HD shock and fitted it onto FD shocks...thing is youre not allowed to heat gas shocks?so not sure what happened there

Re: a few suspension options for HD/HE
well i will have a look into FD adjustables, but im pretty sure that most of em are single piece...
i mean it will be much easier to just get coilover sleeves and weld em onto HD shocks...ride will be slightly improved from stock/cuts and thread will sag but mehh, you gota drop in the end...

Re: a few suspension options for HD/HE
can u get him to come on here, and show us what he did or had to do.
i wanted to see the work involved to get these to fit, and try an aftermaket coilover setup. Is this the oem fd strut? or an aftermarket colover?
and yea taht is crazy low...lol

it was his dad selling it for him, its off trade me now, i asked him what he did an all he said is custom work...they used tein FD3s adjusties...said it was a bit of a mission to fit, plus front waay to low
