Funny how trends go around in circles, you say it's all about the dish these days, back in the day when I was a much younger lad and into modifying cars it was all about the dish then too, although the "stylin" thing with the oversized rims wasn't the case
I agree, nice wheels, a bit BBS ish, I do like that design, although I too think with a bit of a dish would make them look, well, dishier
I've been looking around for a new set of wheels for my HC sedan for a while now too, to upgrade from 17" to 18", and that pattern, and variations of, I reckon would be a good choice
A good example I've found is here,

they look the business, but as far as quality, weight etc, goes, I have no idea

These are deeps for me:
if the center is far more positive than the spoke to dish... these cry 'fake deep dish' to me
i love dishes, but without shortening our rear sub or increasing the track with some flares, dishes will not work for me
not a fan of deep dish corollas where you can see the hub level with the edge of the dish
