Anyone know of a good mechanic that knows his HD's in Brisbane Qld Australia? I've just bought a 1993 model with 125,000kms on it, however, I reckon it's running a bit rich. It's had a rebuild recently before I acquired it but I don't think it was tuned well/timing done properly. I feel it should have a bit more power and a bit more fuel economy. You need to give the accelerator a pump every single time to start it, although it's never not started. Anyone had these issues? Are these common indicators of a particular problem?
Cheers for any suggestions

HD Mechanic in Brisbane?
Hi Joel, I'm not too sure, although you shouldn't need to touch the accelerator pedal to start it, I never have to with mine (1990 HC DOHC). How much range do you get from a tank? I think if its running really rich, the inside of the tailpipe will be extra sooty, it shouldn't be. Only 125,000kms? and a rebuild? why? what happenned?
I dont know any mechanic's in brisbane thats good with the 929, but since I'm moving there soon (from nsw north coast), if you find one, could you let me know too?

I get about 370-400km from a full tank to fuel light on.
Mine has done 145 000km.
