member ranking, suggestions
guys (gals? )
we do not have ranking on this forum, well not yet so i thought i'll put it out there for suggestions:
* do we need them?
* how many would we need?
* what would be the post range?
* what would you like them to be?
lets see some ideas flowing
for those who are not aware of what i'm talking about, these are little titles under your Nick (mine is Site Admin, as i am one). new members could be 'Noobs' and after 5 post could become 'junior member'.... that sort of thing

Ok...

If I come up with better ideas... I'll post it up, but I'm just thinking out aloud here

Re: member ranking, suggestions
there are a few forums that rank their members using gold, silver or bronze.
eg.
0-50 posts (noob)
50-100 posts (jnr. member)
100-500 posts (bronze member)
500-1000 posts (silver member)
1000-2000 posts (gold member)
2000 plus ( platinum member or post whore)

Not sure if we will need this just yet since there is only 39 members, and only, 8 of them have over 10 posts lol. I want an "OG member" in a few years when this site is out of control tho

i wanted to do something special for us
what is "OG member"??
i was thinking, maybe calling the first 50 members if i can (minus search engine bots, once i get rid of them from member count) calling "Elders"

OG is "original gangsters" but obviously in this case, its just a play in words meaning the Orignial people

Re: member ranking, suggestions
Matsuda9: VERY creative. Not bad at all. (where's the "brew maker" and "managing director" in this hahaha)
yakuza: Seen those kind of member rankings on other forums too.
I'm happy to go with what you've suggested, Mats. It covers a broad range of post counts. Trial it. See how it goes. If you get bad feedback... plan B!
And YES.... put something special for us first 50 members! The COMPANY! hehehe
